Sadly 2014 hasn’t got off on the right foot for me, I landed myself in the hospital over the weekend with appendicitis and to have my gallbladder removed. Thankfully nothing went wrong and now I’m at home recovering, but that does mean no photos for awhile. I’m already going stir crazy but the last thing I need to do is land back in the hospital so till I get the okay this blog is going on a hiatus. I do want to remind you all, my photography is still for sale at:
See what I did there? I know I’ve been away for a bit, frankly nothing has urged the muse on for awhile but with the holidays and snow I’m hoping there will be more to take pictures of. Speaking of, though I do have a few of our first big snowfall here. Enjoy!
Okay my art for a lack of a better term lies in photography but occasionally I have delusions of painting or some other outlet. This was meant to be simple but as with everything I do it isn’t. For example, … Continue reading →
So here’s my new St. George and the Red Dragon of Wales hanging with The Union Jack and St Andrews I brought last time I went to Ren fest. My set is almost complete, just need Northern Ireland, well if I truly wanted to make the set I should buy the republic of Ireland as well, we’ll see.
Admittedly I goofed when I bought the Scottish Royal flag blanking for a moment thinking it was the red dragon so I ended up with an extra flag. No worries.
so here’s some of the other things I bought-
my Scottish dirk- gorgeous right?
My pentacle wind chime
My flute. I wanted a bodhran but the cheapest one I saw there was $68. OWWW! I do plan to try to learn it though. I also got this spiky ring but the photo sucked of it.
So I think that’s everything from Ren fest this time round ( I might do a second glace to see if there are more good pictures to which I will post), but hopefully we do go back this year and it doesn’t take another nine years.
I know I said I’d have pictures from the Egyptian festival but when I said that I was hoping against hope that it wouldn’t be a bust. Sadly it was.
I bring glad tidings my Lords and Ladies from the 16th century to this wonderful realm of WordPress and my followers around the net.
I attended the Ohio Renaissance Festival yester morn. There was great feasts to be had, lots of things to make you guineas disappear. and wonderful show for your eyes to behold. So take this trek along with me. Do not be frighted all are welcomed.
The lovely and most beloved Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth the First of England and Ireland was in attendance on this day and we were glad for it.
Many a musician played their instruments both with skill and grace that one could not help but be entranced.
The day was not without its hooligans, the pirates….I mean the actors put on quite a show and the tauntings of the tomato toss did not escape me.
The day concluded for me with a joust. A great but rather one sided battle.
With that I sent for my steed and with my pockets lighter, my arms filled with treasures I left for this century.
So that is my tale and I swear I will go now and edit so that you may see with thine own eyes the fun that was had. And with some hope I may return to the festival in the coming weeks, so that I may bring you more great tales.
